Navman S30 + TomTom + Películas + iGO
Como no se pueden actualizar los mapas sin pagar, ni poner radares o pdis, he decidido añadirle el TomTom.
El Navman S30 tiene 512 Mb de memoria flash interna. En ella está instalado el SmartST y quedan libres unos 256 Mb. Si instalas el Unlock (el cual deja intacto el SmartST) y luego instalas el TomTom y los mapas en la memoria flash (son unos 220 Mb), todavía te quedan incluso unos Mb libres y sin haber usado ninguna tarjeta de memoria SD.
Yo lo he instalado en una tarjeta SD Kingstom de 2Gb para tener espacio para películas y no me ha fallado nunca.
El Unlock es compatible con todos los Navman serie S.
Este manual describe la instalación de TomTom en el Navman S30, en S50 y S70 no es compatible por tamaños de pantalla.

============================================================== UNLOCK
Lo primero es convertir el Navman en una PDA. Lee esto http://navmanunlocked.wikispaces.com y subpáginas.
Hay que poner el Navman_S-Series_Unlock que instala el sistema Windows CE 5.00 reducido:

Descarga el archivo y descomprímelo.

ANTES DE INSTALAR UNLOCK:
No sirve modificar Autorun.reg después de instalar Unlock. Estos datos se graban en el registro de Windows.
Si no quieres que los mapas se tomen de \My Flash Disk, añade al archivo Autorun.reg :

"My Documents"="\Storage Card"
Así Unlock hace que TomTom tome de \Storage Card los mapas (tarjeta SD).

Recomiendo poner también esto para otros programas:

Para que CorePlayer grabe sus datos de configuración en \My Flash Disk\Program Files\CorePlayer:

Para instalar el Unlock, apaga el Navman, pon la tarjeta SD, enchufa el usb y enciende el Navman.
Crea una carpeta llamada \Storage Card\S30 en la tarjeta de memoria SD y extrae el Unlock hacia esta carpeta.
Reinicia el Navman (puede dar algún error al instalar pero no toques nada).
Borrar la carpeta S30 de la tarjeta SD, apagar, desconectar el cable usb y reiniciar.

Aparece una barra de tareas y se conserva el navegador SmartST que traía.
El Unlock puede desinstalarse desde un icono que aparece en el propio Navman.
Ahora puede accederse a la tarjeta SD sin que el Navman entre en el modo USB.
Aconsejo buscar un puntero para marcar en la pantalla.
Hay un teclado virtual y un ratón virtual para ver los lados de la pantalla ya que es pequeña para el Windows CE.

Si quieres añadir nuevos programas al menu start en \My Flash Disk\Program Files\Unlock\Programs.
Si quieres añadir iconos de programa al escritorio en \My Flash Disk\Program Files\Unlock\Desktop.
Los programas que quieres ejecutar en cada reinicio en \My Flash Disk\Program Files\Unlock\Startup.

Recuerda que para ejecutar programas puedes hacer: Start, Task Manager, Run, Browse.

Para crear un acceso directo del TomTom en el escritorio:
Abre el Bloc de notas, edita el fichero SmartST.lnk, cambia la ruta y salva con TomTom.lnk.
Copia luego a \My Flash Disk\Program Files\Unlock\Desktop.
Estructura de acceso directo:

El fileManCE trae una opcion en File, Create Shortcut pero crea ficheros .lnk vacíos de longitud 0.

El Unlock viene con el sistema WinCE 5.0 muy reducido (vamos que no trae nada).
Para que funcione el TomTom y otros programas como para ver las peliculas, etc, hay que bajar este fichero:

Para activar los mapas usa tt8_keygen.exe junto con el serie meta.txt específico que suele venir con el mapa y junto con el código interno del GPS que proporciona el TomTom antes de desbloquear el mapa (se ve tocando las señales del satélite y luego en versión).

Ficheros de configuración del mapa que pueden ser borrados para restablecer la configuración:
MapSetting.cfg = Guardan favoritos, casa, destino reciente... Al actualizar el mapa conservarlo para que no haya que meter de nuevo todos los favoritos.
MapUserPatch.dat = Contiene las correcciones del mapa hechas por ti, por ejemplo el cambio de sentido de una calle.

Los radares actualizados semanalmente los sacas de http://personal.telefonica.terra.es/web/kachoperro/esPOIsRadares.htm
Descarga los ficheros ov2 de posiciones de radar, las voces ogg y los iconos bmp. Descomprimelo y guarda en tu Pc.
Copia los archivos dentro de la carpeta que contiene el mapa.
Por último, abres el programa TomTom, vas a \Cambiar preferencias\Activar/desact. PDI.
Normalmente se habrán activado por defecto todos los PDI de los radares, pero si no es asi, los activas un por uno.
Luego vas a \Cambiar preferencias\Administrar PDI\Avisar si hay PDI cerca" y activas los avisos de los PDI.
Ponemos la distancia de aviso, en sonido damos sí para que coja el archivo ogg y activamos avisar sólo si está en la ruta.
Velocidad y distancia de aviso del radar:
30: 200 metros
40: 250 metros
50 y semáforo: 375 metros
60: 450 metros
70: 525 metros
80: 600 metros
90: 675 metros
100: 750 metros
120 y túnel: 900 metros
Dudosos: 750 metros

Si se cambia de mapa y se mantiene el MapSetting.cfg para no perder los favoritos, los radares empiezan a cantarse en los 2 sentidos de circulación. Para ponerlos que se canten sólo en el sentido de circulación, hay que desactivar todos los avisos de radares y volverlos a activar.

Para capturar las coordenadas de un punto o radar, hay que crear en el raíz de la SD una carpeta llamada screen y dentro poner un archivo llamado capture. Ahora en cualquier pantalla de TomTom o de un menú al darle a la esquina superior izquierda, se graba una imagen bmp en la carpeta \TomTom\screen. Luego cuando queramos salvar unas coordenadas damos a las señales de satélite para que salgan las coordenadas y damos sobre la esquina superior izquierda de la pantalla, hará un ruido de foto y salvará un archivo bmp imagen de la pantalla de ese momento en la carpeta \TomTom\screen.

CorePlayer 1.1.1.1600 para ver las películas. Búscalo por emule pero que no sea la versión para el ActiveSync.
Busca el crack también porque pide un numero serie.
Extrae los archivos, machaca con el crack y copialos a \My Flash Disk\Program Files\CorePlayer.
Ponle un acceso directo al escritorio.

Borramos el contenido total anterior de la carpeta \speedcam antes de meter el txt.

Y ahora a configurarlo. Activar radares, voces, etc...

============================================================== BLOQUEOS
Puede dejarse inservible el GPS si durante el desbloqueo se produce un error o si se desconecta el cable USB mientras se transfieren datos, etc. Si se te bloquea el Navman S30, como me pasó una vez, haz esto:
1.- Apagarlo y retirar la tarjeta SD.
2.- Quitar los 2 tornillos inferiores.
3.- Separar los 2 laterales.
4.- Quitar los 4 tornillos posteriores que aparecen.
5.- Quitar la tapa posterior.
6.- Desconectar el conector de la batería durante unos 5 minutos.
7.- Remontar todo.
8.- Poner la tarjeta SD y enchufar el USB.
9.- Encender.
10.- Copia a la SD la carpeta S30 del Unlock para que se instale de nuevo.
11.- Apaga, quita el USB y reinicia.

Firstly, a note to all Vista users. To connect your Navman to your computer via the USB cable, you must first download Windows Mobile Device Centre (similar to ActiveSync on XP).This can be obtained free from Microsoft Download Centre.

1. Back up the original Navman Software
Warning - It is strongly recommended to backup the original Navman Software before unlocking your device.
Ignore this advice at your own peril.

Make sure you have Microsoft ActiveSync installed on your PC and then connect the USB cable to your device and turn it on.
Open up 'My Computer' icon or Windows Explorer and you'll see your navman listed as Mobile Device.
From here you can copy all the files to a safe location on your hard disk. If needed, these files can then be copied back to the device.
You have to backup the SmartST software only. This is located depending of your hardware in this folder:

Normally the [\Windows] folder will be overwritten by internal rom contents by a hard reset. You can initiate a hard reset by switching off the power switch at the bottom/back of your device. Note: The RESET button on the bottom/top of your device will perform a soft reset only - and this will not over write or restore the original [\Windows] folder contents. To (soft) reset the Navman poke your stylus into the RESET hole.

2. Prepare SD Card
Before installing the unlock it is also a good idea to create "Program Files", "My Documents" and "Application Data" folders in the root directory of your SD card if you have one. The unlock program will detect these directories (refer configure settings for details).

Step 1. - Preparing the device.
Make a backup copy of your original directories/files.

A: You need TT7 for HTC repack3. It comes in a cabfile.

B: Extract the .cab file with WinCe cab manager to get the to files: TomTom navigator.exe
data.chk

C: On the root of your SD card you create a folder called: Navigator and copy the 2 files you Extractet with cabmanager:
navigator.exe
data.chk
into the folder.

D: Copy voices into the same folder. You can use the old voices from TT6.

E: Add your desired map to the root of the SD card. It needs to be patch if you are using the new 675.xxx and 720.xxx maps. Old maps can be tricked: Rename 650.xxx to 675.xxx etc - and it works!

F: Put the SD into the PNA and run
"TomTom Navigator.exe"
which is of course found in the folder "Navigator"

Its a good ide to add the dll:
"note_prj.dll"
to the Navigator folder. TT can run whitout, but this dll makes it run better - at least on my S-Series.

Replace the old TomTom
"navigator.exe"
found in the folder called "navigator"

with the new "TomTom Navigator.exe" suitable for PNA.

This worked for me on N40i.

1. Installed the Repack3.

2. Download and install a file named TT7_PNA.ZIP that can be found on Rapidshare.

4. Unpack and overwrite the file in Navigator folder.

3. Fix your maps with patch or serial.

If everything works you are a happy user of TT 7.450

Installation

1. Copy the the iGO8 folder [iGO8] to the Navman's storage card.
2. licence.lic goes in [\Storage Card\iGO8\license].
3. The basemap and local map files go in the content/map folder [\Storage Card\iGO8\content\map]
4. We can not show you how to obtain the iGO8.exe file because of this site's Terms Of Service. It is not difficult. Try your favorite search engine for more information. iGO8.exe should be in the [\Storage Card\iGO8\] folder.


Remapping the Keycodes
Use AEKMapScan on the Navman to find the hexadecimal keycodes that are generated by the Navman's external buttons. If your device does not have external buttons, this stage can be ignored. iGO recognizes hexadecimal values that start with a letter A B C D E or F automatically. So C1 is recognized as a hexadecimal value C1. Hexadecimal values starting with a proper number (0 through 9) must be preceded with an 'x'. So x76 would be recognized as the hexadecimal value 76. 76 without the x is recognized only as a decimal number and will therefore not match to your buttons if used.

Once the proper keycodes are known, you can update the keybind.txt file inside the data.zip file. Navman uses keycodes under the [default] heading. Below are the keycode entries for my iCN520. Codes generated by your Navman buttons may differ to this, or you may wish to remap different functions to your external buttons.

Adding Speed Cameras
Updating the speed camera database usually adds an extra 30 seconds to the first boot run. Depending on the size of the file, this process can take as long as 6 minutes. Subsequent loading times will return to normal once the database is updated. Updating is simple. Just copy speedcam.txt to the speedcam folder at [iGO8/content/speedcam].

Default Sys.txt
You can alter many core features within iGO from the sys.txt file. Here are the default entries within the sys.txt file that work with the Navman.

Notes

* Versions of the iGO8 software released after September 2008 require newer map and license files.
* Menu animation my cause a crash. Disable animation from the Menu settings.
* When you power off the Navman whilst iGO is running, and then try to power on sometime later, the Navman may display a black screen. To prevent this occuring, only power off iGO whilst the Navman displays iGOs 3D map screen. Do not power off iGO from a menu screen.
* We cannot instruct you fully on how to install the PNA version of iGO on the Navman, since showing you how to obtain iGO8.exe would violate the Wikispace TOS. I'm sure you all know how to use a search engine by now though. Once you have [IGO8] on your storage card and copied iGO8.exe to the iGO folder, follow the installation instructions above to make it run on the Navman.
